This property was absolutely beautiful and a great place for my boyfriend’s dog to run around and have fun. The moment we stepped into the bunkhouse we felt right at home. The space was perfect for the 3 of us and we immediately started planning when we should come back for a longer stay. After noticing some beautiful apple trees near the bunkhouse, I sent an email to Mike and Kili asking if we’d be able to enjoy some. I received a quick and friendly reply, with Kili even offering some berries from the berry brambles nearby! Although we only stayed for one night, it is safe to say this has been one of the best airbnb experiences we have had. We hope to be back soon!

We had a great time! This was a last minute stay for us and we had something very specific we were looking for. We had a great time and Mike and Kili were great hosts. We loved the peaceful property and it's a beautiful location. Exactly what we needed and we'd highly recommend. The Bunkhouse in Jamestown was so cute and picturesque. Absolutely breathtaking view of the hills of Kansas. We were thrilled to wake up to the sounds of birds and cows every morning! It is everything advertised on the website and more! I would recommend this for anyone yearning to escape the world, unplug, reconnect with nature and yourself or really anything else. Very beautiful property, quiet, calm, and peaceful. It was easy to find the bunkhouse and check in. The property is somewhat remote, which we were expecting. There are a few towns close by with restaurants, but some have odd hours or were closed the day we were there. We had a great, short stay here.

We loved staying with here! Mike and Kili were wonderful hosts and the place - I cannot describe the beauty of the land and the views overlooking the countryside and waking up to a stunning sunrise. This was the perfect peaceful escape: quiet, beautiful scenery, and a very comfortable, well-air-conditioned bunkhouse. I loved spending time on the deck with coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings, and the privacy made it easy to relax and recharge. Nice secluded get a way spot. Very tastefully decorated. You can cook your own meals. Our bathroom in the Snow Goose room was handicap accessible, and you could adjust the firmness of the bed. Host was wonderful to deal with also. It was a great stay.

We stayed in the Bunkhouse for two nights and it was very nice and cozy. Even though it was very windy outside, our room was nice and quiet (no windows or doors rattling). There is a queen bed and a twin bed, so enough for three people. Lighting is kind of dark unless you keep the shades open. Although we didn’t meet the owners in person, communication was good and they reached out with how to access the property as well as the door code. We also enjoyed the recommendation for Immigration Ales in nearby Courtland, which we highly recommend. My only concern was cleanliness because I picked up several dead bugs off of the bathroom floor. Because the weather turned cold and windy, we didn’t get t enjoy as much time outdoors as we would have liked. Otherwise, if you’re in the area and want to get away for a nice, quiet, cozy retreat, we recommend the Snow Goose Lodge!

I was only here one night, but if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place this is perfect. The bunkhouse had everything I needed and it was enjoyable just sitting on the deck overlooking the countryside. I do recommend having food/snacks with you before arriving because there is no convenient place to get this after you arrive without driving a few miles. I grabbed take-out from a local bar and grill beforehand which worked out perfectly. The place was well taken care of and would recommend the place to anyone.

The property has beautiful views and is very serene! Hosts were responsive - we arrived late and the WiFi wasn’t working so Mike came right down to fix it at 10:30 pm. The only issue was Google maps taking us down an unmaintained farm road in the dark to get there, then not being able to see the bunkhouse from the driveway at night. We wanted to "get away" for a night, First off what an amazing location (even if its off the beaten path). Picturesque views really well kept and nicely stocked cabin. Sunsets are amazing from the porch. Rolling Kansas hills. We rented the whole cabin for our family and it didn't disappoint. Only negative is "mosquitos" bring lots of really quality bug spray if you are out after dusk. A little pricier than I had hoped for a one night stay, would be back way more if it was a little cheaper, but will definitely be back. Easy communication as well as easy check in/out process.

My Dad lives in the area and we visit quite often. We have tried other Airbnb's in the area, which were good, but this location has everything we want in NCK. The location is peaceful and you can't beat the sunsets! The accommodations are just what we needed to keep our kids and dog happy! I can't tell you how thrilled my son was to learn he could shoot his, new to him, 22 rifle his Grandpa gave him. Thats a lifelong memory he and his brother made, shooting at cans. My husband and I enjoyed checking out the covered bridge that was built in the late 90's and star gazing from the deck. Being from Republic County, I personally think it is a convenient location. Especially if you are going to the local area museums, you are right in between the Pawnee Indian Village and the Orphan Train museum in Concordia.If you want to experience North Central Kansas like a local then I highly recommend Snow Goose Lodge. What a wonderful getaway with perhaps the best views in all of Kansas. Look out one window and see a ginormous lake. Look out the other and see a picture perfect covered bridge! The lodge itself is both modern and spacious. Not to mention the sofa was probably the most comfortable I've ever sat on.

The location was beautiful and peaceful. Our kids loved seeing the animals and running around. The owners greeted us at the lodge when we arrived. They were available if we needed anything, but gave us our space otherwise. The room fit our needs perfectly and was nicely decorated. Our only complaint was the animal (probably dog) hair on the top blanket of the queen bed. We just set that blanket aside. Overall it was a great visit and we’d stay at Snow Goose Lodge again.

For anyone traveling through northern Kansas and looking for a rural overnight stay, Mike and Kili's is ideal. Personally, I prefer cabins, tiny homes, and other such accommodations to motels where there is less privacy. In the summer, the air is full of the sounds of birds and cicadas. Cattle graze nearby, and the deck has a view of the covered bridge and lake. Since it's out in the country, there will be insects outdoors, so dress accordingly.

Great Lodge & terrific surrounding area! Two friends & I stayed at the Lodge 4 nights the 1st weekend in May (for the Big Kansas Road Trip '23, if you've heard of that).  I couldn't have asked for a nicer place or better hosts (& friendly dogs 😊).  The common area had a large table where we could sit & download our photos (we're photographers).  There are comfortable chairs & a couch.  Kili & Mike Land were very helpful with information about the local area.  The Lodge is a little isolated, but easy to find, which makes it perfect for relaxation.  The views from the hill on which the Lodge sits to the east & west are wonderful.  There's the Jamestown Marsh to the west, and the marsh extends south to Sportsman's Lake which also has a surrounding marsh.  They're beautiful to just look at, especially at sunset, or to spot birds and other wildlife.  They were on the dry side during our stay, but the lake area did have a fair amount of water as did the canals throughout that area.  The covered bridge is only 100 yards from the Lodge.  The marsh image is the area immediately east of Sportsman's Lake.

The Snow Goose Lodge is truly a hidden gem! My wife and I just spent two restful and relaxing nights there and we were very sad to leave! The Vista is amazing: the lodge is right on the crest of a hill with stunning views both east and west. To the west is a game preserve, and we were greeted with whitetail deer, red winged blackbirds, hawks and all sorts of wildlife. The lodge is spacious and comfortable, really well decorated with a wonderful western Americana theme that pays homage to trappers, traders, and fishermen. The antique ice box was my personal favorite addition! The owners were gracious and we highly recommend this to any traveler looking for a wonderful retreat from the stress and fast-paced nature of modern day life. Can't wait to visit again!

I travel for work & stay at a LOT of Airbnb properties across 3 states... Unequivocally, this one is my very favorite. There is no way to explain it unless you stay here yourself. I am writing this review while mourning that I am due to check out in the next hour, lol. It is so peaceful and cozy here that you just simply never want to leave!  Our society needs mandated stays in places like this to promote inner peace and self reflection - those are the two things I always leave having attained after a stay at Snow Goose.

If you're seeking solitude and want to get away from the chaos, look no further. We stayed in the bunkhouse. Cold outside but very warm inside. Home away from home. Super easy check-in/out. You'll never see Mike & Kili unless you go looking for them. Our dog was with us and their dogs are very friendly if they make it down to the bunkhouse. If you like covered bridges like my wife does, you'll really enjoy going through the bridge as you enter on to the property. It was truly beautiful as the sun went down and the bridge lights came on. We're already planning on going back in the Spring. Turn your phones off and leave humanity behind as you embrace the sound of silence.

It’s with hesitation that I rank Mike and Killi’s Snow Goose Lodge five stars, because I know once word gets out how nice this property is, it’ll be tough to reschedule.  Several giveaways that it’s special: the gravel road… always love a place at the very end of a gravel road. This one is surrounded by a nature preserve and excellent hiking. The amazing sunset view over the Jamestown Lake. The main lodge sits 75 feet above the surrounding valley. Peaceful tranquility and safety. Dog friendly. Cleanliness, modern decor, charming responsive hosts, etc. etc. Shhhh! Don’t tell anybody.

My stay was absolutely wonderful and serene! The peace and stillness of the little bungalow was lovely. I took a walk down to the covered bridge and watched the sun set. Beds and chairs were comfortable. Loved the windmill!

WOW! It’s that amazing, if you love the country and a quiet setting. This is the place. If your a city person this ain’t the place for you. Unless your looking to get away from it for a bit. The hosts are amazing as well. They answer your message almost instantly and were very informative about the surrounding towns and places to eat.

Yeah. This is a diamond out here in the middle of nowhere. It’s great. There are three different lodges to choose from. We had the bunk, and it’s great. One Queen, one Twin, chairs, TV. The coolest part is the ambience. The clock tower bridge is *great*.

I am a traveling medical worker who staffs sleep disorders laboratories overnight and on a lark I decided I'd book a room at Snow Goose Lodge to sleep in between shifts. Holy. Cow. 🐮 The second I drove onto this property I felt a sweeping sensation of calm. The covered bridge, I believe, transports you to a Kansas that only exists in old time movies when you cross it to get to your sleeping quarters... I'm not exaggerating! As tired as I was from working overnight, the property just leaves you dumbstruck as you take it all in! It had been a hectic shift but as I entered the lodge and smelled the scent of pine throughout? I could feel my blood pressure dropping back within range! I just regret that I only had the seven hours there and that I had to spend it all sleeping. I would've loved to explore the grounds and interact with the livestock that I spied in a nearby pen. Trust me. Don't stay ANYWHERE else if you're needing accommodation near Belleville or Concordia. The Holiday Inn is a dumpster fire in comparison to this hidden piece of prairie heaven. If I get additional assignments out near Jamestown I will definitely return.

Mike and Kili were awesome to communicate with, and the Bunkhouse was perfect for our stay. The natural area around the property is beautiful and relaxing, and we loved seeing all the stars at night. Mike and Kili Were beyond welcoming. Great clear and timely communication. Check in was a breeze and the place was clean, cozy , and exactly as advertised. Property is amazing  and over looks the refuge for the wildlife area. Internet was super fast which aided in work I had to do. They provide the perfect amount of amenities for the stay. It’s about 20-25 mins into town if you need anything. Looking forward to my next stay with mike and kili.
